Injuries Injuries

Nurses suffer work related musculoskeletal injuries every day. All too often these injuries lead to disability. ExceptionalNurse.com supports the "No Lift" legislation passed in some states. A comprehensive national "safe patient handling - no manual lift" law which would require mechanical lifting equipment and friction-reducing devices for all health care workers, patients, and residents across all health care settings, continues to be a critical need. Nurses are encouraged to lobby their state legislators to introduce a "safe patient handling - no manual lift" bill.
